Since the beginning of his memorial, over 100,000 of Kevin's key rings have been distributed. Something that started out as a local memorial in 1997, has become a worldwide memorial since 1999. Preserving the memory of our son, Kevin and hopefully helping others become aware of the dangers related to driving under the influence.   Within 12 hours of Kevin's crash, Kristin, Kevin's older sister, and I had discussed a project that would help people remember Kevin and hopefully learn from his tragic mistake. We decided upon key rings in the maroon and gold colors of Harding High School, Kevin's alma mater. The key rings, designed by Kristin, bear the message, ?In memory of Kevin Brockway ? Think of me before you turn the key! Please don't drink and drive. Your friend, Kevin.? The key ring comes packaged with Kevin's story. We thought we might take them to the high school or just around the community. However, a local television station did a report and suggested that I get a post office box so they could give the address to viewers who might want a key ring. We were astonished at the response. Hundreds of people sent requests during the first few days. Today, we have distributed a total of 100,000 key rings. Some of those have also been sent around the world. Since the crash, I have become an outspoken voice against drunk driving. I have spoken at dozens of schools, churches, offices, and community events. Please contact me for more information and estimated cost. Kevin's car was donated and is maintained by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.  It is used as part of a traveling exhibit. The Celebrity is bent almost in half where it wrapped around the tree. It often accompanies my presentations.
